My interest in psychology began when I studied a subject on the fundamental concepts of this discipline during my A-levels.
During my university studies, I gained essential theoretical knowledge. However, it was through training and work experiences later on that I consolidated the foundations of my regular clinical practice.
I discovered that what I am most passionate about in this profession is the connection with people and the opportunity to contribute to their well-being.
I am a cheerful, active, empathetic, and sociable person. I enjoy dancing, morning walks, and contemplating the sea. I also find pleasure in a homemade meal or a coffee in good company.
I consider it a privilege to accompany the people I work with.
I completed the Master's Degree in Child Psychiatry and Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Later on, I gained international experience working as a psychotherapist and researcher at the University of Cambridge in England. This enriching period inspired me to continue my training in the Master's Degree in Early Intervention and Family at the Ramon Llull University of Barcelona.
I decided to continue growing professionally and expand my horizons towards psychotherapy with adults, which led me to complete the Postgraduate in Integrative Therapy which adapts to the unique needs of each individual, recognizing their complexity and singularity.
In addition, I have actively pursued opportunities to enrich my professional practice through complementary training. I am also trained in couples therapy, as well as specific courses in emotional intervention, grief and loss, and trauma.
My initial training focused on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, recognized for its effectiveness in treating disorders such as anxiety and mood disorders. In my current practice, I use an Integrative Approach, combining various therapeutic techniques adapted to the unique needs of each individual.
I understand psychology sessions as a process of facilitating change and personal growth, where the entirety of the person (emotions, thoughts, body, life history, etc.) is considered, and not only the crisis or current situation that prompted the consultation.
Therefore, it is very important for me to establish a bond of security and trust with the people I work with from an empathetic and non-judgmental perspective. During the sessions, my goal is to provide solid emotional containment, explore the roots of distress, and gradually facilitate significant and lasting changes that empower and improve the overall well-being of the individual, taking control of their own process of change.
