At the beginning we will start establishing your goals. These goals may change as the therapeutic process progresses. Sometimes I will suggest activities between sessions to promote reflective work.
It is important to consider that psychotherapy is not intended to be a quick fix. It may have intense moments and will require personal effort from you. Ultimately, it's not just an economic and time investment, it's also an investment in your future.
Integrative Psychotherapy arises from the limitation of addressing the particularities of each case from a single psychological theory. Therefore, this approach incorporates various schools of psychology and psychotherapeutic techniques in order to adapt and personalize treatment to the specific needs of each individual.
This psychotherapeutic approach brings together knowledge from cognitive-behavioral models, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, humanistic-existential models, constructivist, psychodynamic models, and contributions from dialectical or brief strategic therapy, amongst others.
Generally, at the beginning, sessions take place more frequently. The initial recommendation is to start with weekly sessions. However, in the end, it will be up to you to decide the initial frequency and follow-up of the sessions.
As changes that improve your well-being begin to happen, it is usually recommended to space out the visits, for example, every other week, and later every month, to monitor and ensure that the changes last over time.
In psychotherapy, the patient determines how long they want their process to last. The time will depend entirely on each person and the goals of therapy, although we will seek to work efficiently and progress in the shortest time possible.
My fees are 60 euros per hour, both for in-person and online visits, and 80 euros for couples' sessions.
Sessions last approximately one hour; an hour and a quarter in the case of couples therapy.
You can change the date or cancel the session with a minimum notice of 24 hours. Last-minute cancellations or changes may entail payment for part of the session, depending on each case.
Confidentiality is an essential characteristic of psychotherapy. As psychologists, we are legally and ethically obligated to preserve professional secrecy, thus providing an absolute guarantee of confidentiality.
As an integral part of this commitment, in addition to maintaining the privacy of cases, the ability to review them with a clinical supervisor is included as part of my commitment to ensuring the effectiveness of my interventions.
